It's television! Again!

The Shield, Boomtown, Nip/Tuck, Freaks & Geeks, Carnivale.
Carnivale This mysterious TV series slowly unfolds its secrets, similar to David Lynch's seminal "Twin Peaks". A fugitive named Ben Hawkins finds refuge within a traveling carnival comprised of a tarot card reader and her catatonic/telekinetic mother, a blind mentalist, a bearded lady, conjoined twins, and the unseen, creepy managment, amongst others. Plagued by nightmares and prophetic dreams which he shares with a fanatical preacher, it slowly occurs to him and his new-found friends that they're trapped in the middle of the final battle between good and evil. A great cast including Nick Stahl, Clancy Brown,Clea DuVall, Adrienne Barbeau, Patrick Bauchau and Michael Anderson (the dancing midget from Twin Peaks) and a lot of surprises guarantee almost 12 hours of "edge of your seat" - entertainment.
Freaks and Geeks Over 35,000 fans have demanded it, and so it has come. That’s how many rabid "Freaks and Geeks" fans have signed a petition via the Internet to plead for its release on DVD. "Freaks and Geeks," the Emmy award-winning series about the trials and tribulations of high school outsiders in 1980 Michigan is a perfect blend of insight, humor, high hopes, and utter failure. Shame on NBC for letting this one go.
The Shield Another crime series about a police precinct in L.A., this show follows strike team leader Vic Mackey, a tough-as-nails cop on his quest to balance his greed with his desire to do good. Of course, there's much more to this show, humor, action, a lot of surprises and plot twists, and a couple of the most repulsive but compelling characters in a TV series ever.
Boomtown 'Boomtown' tells the story of one crime from multiple perspectives, employing what movie purists refer to as The 'Rashomon' style. We follow two detectives, two street cops, a district attorney, a paramedic, a journalist, and the victims and perps. According to some reports, NBC wanted to cancel this show for being too intelligent. Well, a lot of too intelligent viewers protested and brought it back for a 2nd season.
Nip/Tuck Are you ready for some sophisticated bad taste? Then this disturbing, twisted, dark comedy-drama might be something for you. We follow the trail of two successful plastic surgeons desperately trying to get their dysfunctional lifes together. The humor is brutal, the dialogue sharp, the acting superb and it's nothing for people with a weak stomach.
